Welcome Trio Gaspard!

We are pleased to welcome Trio Gaspard, which includes Jonian Ilias Kadesha, whom we have represented for some time, as well as Vashti Hunter on cello and Nicholas Rimmer on piano, to Künstlersekretariat Schoerke for representation in German-speaking countries!

Founded in 2010, Trio Gaspard has won various special and first prizes, including the International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition in Weimar, the 5th International Haydn Competition in Vienna and the 17th International Chamber Music Competition in Illzach, France. It is one of the most sought-after piano trios of its generation and has been praised for its unique and fresh approach to music.

For a first recording project on Chandos Records, the musicians are recording all 46 of Joseph Haydn’s piano trios and adding Haydn-related contemporary commissioned compositions. The 2nd volume has recently been published, following the release of the first CD in the series in the summer of 2022, which was highly praised by the press.

“In doing so, they give the pieces an inspiredly immediate impulse that makes the music seem quicksilver inspired and rejects any academically sober approach far away. Haydn himself may have thought of his works with such joy.”
