Thomas Zehetmair and Ruth Killius – a variety of concerts in London

Thomas Zehetmair’s talent for skilfully combining his many aptitudes with one another is without equal. In the coming two weeks, he will do just that in London. There, he will take to the stage as a soloist, conductor and chamber musician. In every role, he is sure to inspire with his impeccable technique and rich expressiveness. The brilliant soloist tone of his instrument emanates across the orchestra as does the fine, accentuated tone of chamber music. Together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, he will captivate audiences with Zimmermann’s violin concerto. In a further concert, he will conduct the orchestra presenting a Beethoven/Mahler programme.

He will join Ruth Killius to perform a duo recital in the world famous Wigmore Hall providing both a tonal and musical complement to this intricately crafted programme with the rich sound of her viola and nuanced phrases. In a master course taught by both Thomas Zehetmair and Ruth Killius, the students of the Royal College of Music will have the chance to benefit not only from the world-class duo’s wealth of experience, but also their seasoned playing. On 21st October, Thomas Zehetmair will also join students to perform a mixed programme ranging from Mendelssohn’s Octet op. 20 up to and including Beethovens Symphony op. 92.
