Schwäbischer Frühling with Artist in Residence Christian Poltéra

This week the Schwäbische Frühling will take place in the illustrious city of Ochsenhausen, located along the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. In his function as Artist in Residence, Christian Poltéra has been part of the developement of the program and will also participate in four concerts.
After the opening concert tomorrow night with Artistic Director Linus Roth, Esther Hoppe, Veronika Hagen and Kathryn Stott with works by Brahms and Haydn, Christian Poltéra will play Schubert’s Quintet in C major with the Hagen Quartett on Thursday.
On Saturday, he will present Bach’s Suites for Violoncello while Wolf Wondratschek will read from his novel about the famous Mara-Cello by Antonio Stradivari, which will also be present.
The closing night will then bring together the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and Christian Poltéra to perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 2 in D major.
