New Album with Ruth Killius and Thomas Zehetmair

Ruth Killius and Thomas Zehetmair have recorded a new CD with the Royal Northern Sinfonia. The album is being released by ECM and contains Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Bartók’s Viola Concerto as well as John Caskens Concerto for Violin, Viola and Orchestra The Subtle Knot. This sums up the work of Thomas Zehetmair from when he was principal conductor at the orchestra in that it combines established repertoire with new, less frequently played and heard pieces.
