New album by Dominik Wagner

Today sees the release of a very special new album by Dominik Wagner with Berlin Classics. On “Double Bass Rhapsody” he plays works from Bach to Bruckner, from Dvorak to Freddie Mercury, partly alone and partly with bassists Christoph Wimmer, Herber Mayr and José Trigo. In the specially developed arrangements, he and his colleagues show the versatility and perhaps still unknown qualities of their instrument, and also string together composers who know how to evoke many different styles and emotions.
