Martin Stadtfeld with the BR Kammerorchester in Munich

On October 22nd, Martin Stadtfeld will play two Bach piano concertos with the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra with Radoslaw Szulc conducting in the Prince Regententheater. He will perform the Concerto in D minor BWV 1052 from J.S. Bach and his son Johann Christian Bach’s Concerto in F minor W C73.

Martin Stadtfeld succeeds in juxtaposing the music of Bach and his youngest son in a subtle way. He works out with great care the musical similarities and influence of the parent, while bringing out the stylistic differences. Historic authenticity mixed with modern piano technique and Stadtfeld’s great musical expression lead to an impressive concert experience on Sunday morning.
