Martin Stadtfeld in Colombia

The motto of this year’s Cartagena International Music Festival, one of the most important music events in Latin America, is “The Essence of Form – the Classical Style.”

Martin Stadtfeld will perform Classical repertoire three times at the festival. First, at an open air concert on January 7th, presenting excerpts from Mozart’s London sketchbook. On January 8th, he plays early Mozart piano sonatas in a matinee concert before appearing again in the evening with the Münchner Kammerorchester, this year’s orchestra-in-residence, under the baton of Clemens Schuldt performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, KV 466.

With its colonial charm and Caribbean flair, Cartagena offers an extraordinary and great ambience for Martin Stadtfeld’s incomparable and varied interpretation.
