Martin Stadtfeld at Wigmore Hall

On 16th February, Martin Stadtfeld will join viola player Tahlia Petrosian and bass clarinettist Volker Hemken to present a varied chamber music experience to a London audience.
In this unusual line-up, the three experienced musicians will bring brilliant arrangements of Brahms’ Six Songs and Mendelssohn’s Songs without Words to the stage. The romantic programme of the lunchtime concert will also be complemented by Schumann’s famous Fairy Tales for Viola and Piano as well as his Fantasy Pieces for the solo Piano.

Martin Stadtfeld’s profoundly astute approach to interpretation and his subtle technique with its rich tonal colour bestow the piece with deserving elegance and unimposing presence that make him one of the finest chamber music partners in every respect. Together with Tahlia Petrosian and Volker Hemken, both permanent members of the Gewandhausorchester, a trio has formed whose exquisitely harmonious playing and heartfelt interpretations speak for themselves.

Here are some more information on the concert.
