Mario Venzago in Asia

This year, Mario Venzago is spending the Christmas season far away from home.
His journey begins this week in Taipei, where he will play a concert with the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan on Saturday. The programme ranges from Alexander Mossolow and Honegger to Beethoven’s Piano Concerto with Jonathan Biss at the piano, and Schubert’s Unfinished, which Venzago will present in the version he completed himself.
He will then round off the concert year two weeks later with two concerts in Singapore, in which Weber’s Overture to Der Freischütz and Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto with Steven Isserlis will lead to the same complete finale.
