Jean-Paul Gasparian’s new Debussy-album

Today the new recital album of the young pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian is being published with naïve. His first records had a major focus on Russian-romantical repertoire. Thus, Jean-Paul Gasparian is now going in a new direction in dedicating this CD to Claude Debussy. As a Frenchmen and former student of the Paris Conservatory this is an important journey to his roots. Nevertheless, Jean-Paul Gasparian was specially conscious of the challenge of authentically capturing the music with recording equipment: „I wanted something evocative and immaterial that would allow me to navigate my way through the range of moods, colours and timbres that make up the Debussyan universe.”
