Andreas Staier: Concerts in Frankfurt and Berlin
On May 17th and 18th, Andreas Staier will be heard at the harpsichord with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alessandro de Marchi in Frankfurt. The program includes Georg Anton Benda’s Concerto in F minor and the Concerto D major Hob. XVIII:11 by Joseph Haydn. On May 25th, he then plays Mozart’s Piano Concerto in G major KV 453 on a modern grand piano with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Bernard Labadie. Andreas Staier masters the subtleties of the instruments while at the same time expressing the regional, temporal and stylistic character of the compositions. He never falls into routine, instead giving each of his performances a curious freshness and diverse spice.
