For decades, the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg/Hohenems has been considered the most renowned Schubert festival in the world.

Every year, the crème de la crème from the world of Lied and chamber music convene to perform exquisite concerts and honour the life’s work of the brilliant composer of the Romantic Era.

 Andreas Staier – a welcome recurring guest at the Schubertiade since 1995 – will join soprano Christiane Karge to present a varied programme of Lieder and cantatas by Mozart, Medelssohn, Haydn not to mention Schubert. Following the successful premier of their cooperation at the Mozart Festival Würzburg this past weekend, one thing is clear: the two musicians share a common musical language. On 17 June, listeners will have the chance to experience their expressive, true-to-detail, profound interpretations in Schwarzenberg.
