Aldeburgh Music Festival – Thomas Zehetmair – Ruth Killius

Thomas Zehetmair will be attending this year’s Aldeburgh Music Festival in England where he will perform not one, but three concerts. The festival has been held since 1948 when it was founded by none other than Benjamin Britten. Since then, world-class performers of classical music, including talented young artists, have convened here once a year to craft a programme of unsurpassed quality and variety over one month. The festival has long been considered one of the world’s most prestigious.

Audiences have the chance to experience Zehetmair’s exceptionally talent as violinist in a solo recital. Then the duo Thomas Zehetmair and Ruth Killius will present an exciting programme featuring music from the first half of the 20th century. In a third concert presenting Alban Berg’s chamber concerto for piano, violin and 13 wind instruments, he will take to the stage alongside Pierre Laurent.

Thomas Zehetmair and Ruth Killius are among the most exceptional performers attending this year’s festival. As to be expected, audiences can look forward to interpretations of unparalleled musical excellence, technical precision and superb tonal blend
