Andreas Staier: “A new way” with Beethoven

Andreas Staiers new CD “Ein neuer Weg” has been published by harmonia mundi. It includes sonatas and variations by Beethoven, written in a time when Beethoven was accepting that his hearing will only get worse.

This recording was the record of the week for Concerti, which called it “A meticulous acknowledgement of Beethoven”.
