We are delighted to take over the representation for the fantastic violinist Tianwa Yang!
With confidence, musical expertise and a special instinct for interpretation, Tianwa Yang has quickly earned a place among the rank of leading violinists. Thanks to her in-depth study of music, her playing is alert, captivating and at the same time full of inner calm and strength.
Tianwa Yang began her recording career at a young age. Paganini’s 24 Caprices were followed by many award-winning recordings, such as the complete works for violin and orchestra and violin and piano by Wolfgang Rihm, the violin concerto and the double concerto by Johannes Brahms with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the six solo sonatas by Eugène Ysaÿe, the complete recording of Pablo Sarasate’s violin works and a CD with Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under Darrell Ang. Her most recent album with pianist Nicholas Rimmer features violin sonatas by George Antheil and was released in June 2023.
Her long recording history with the label Naxos shows: The works of Wolfgang Rihm and Jörg Widmann and her collaboration with contemporary composers are just as close to her heart as the “classics” by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Prokofiev, Schumann and Tchaikovsky.
This is also reflected in her chamber music and recital programmes, which she presents with Nicholas Rimmer at important concert venues such as the Berlin and Cologne Philharmonie, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Wigmore Hall London and the Lincoln Center New York, as well as at renowned festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Heidelberger Frühling, Mozartfest Würzburg and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. She also demonstrates her diversity in orchestral concerts with conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Jaap van Zweden and Nicholas Collon as well as with orchestras such as the WDR, MDR and hr symphony orchestras, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Helsinki Philharmonic and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
We are very much looking forward to this collaboration and the exciting upcoming projects!
