Mario Venzago is back in Indianapolis. He was principal conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra from 2002 to 2009 and is now a regular guest. During this visit, he will present various programmes in four concerts. After the opening event with works by Verdi, Rossini and Berio, he will conduct Robert Schumann’s Rheinische Symphony Bruch’s Violin Concerto with Karen Gomyo on the violin as well as the work Blue Cathedral by contemporary composer Jennifer Higdons in the other three events.
