Christian Zacharias with the Frankfurt Museum Orchestra

This week, Christian Zacharias is working in the shadow of Germany’s financial center in Frankfurt am Main. Together with the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, he will certainly have enough illuminating thoughts on his journey through music history not to be distracted by the contrasting surroundings. Starting at the end of the 18th century with Beethoven and his Piano Concerto No. 2, the program moves on to Arnold Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony and finally returns to the beginning of the 19th century, concluding the program with Schubert’s Symphony No. 2.
