Christian Zacharias has a series of nine concerts in five countries ahead of him this late summer. It begins on August 18th at the “Festival International de Piano” in La Roque d’Anthéron (France). The recital will take place outdoors. The programme includes numerous works by Couperin and Poulenc. On August 30th, he will perform at the “Schubertiade” in Austria, where he has been a recurring soloist for many years. The focus there will be on Schubert and Haydn.
On the 1st and 15th of September, he will play two concerts in Court (Switzerland) and La Roch-Vineuse (France) together with violinist Alexandra Conunova. The two exceptional artists will play sonatas by Mozart and Schubert.
The next five concerts will have the same program, consisting of Schubert’s Moments Musicaux, Haydn’s C major Sonata and numerous pieces by Poulenc and Couperin. He will play this program on September 10th at the “Piano aux Jacobins Festival” in Toulouse, on September 20th in Neumarkt, in the “Alte Oper” in Frankfurt on September 22nd and on September 25th in Nijmegen (Netherlands). The concert on the 29th of September at the “Musica Andeer Festival” (Switzerland) will conclude this ‘late summer tour’ and also mark the end of the festival.
