Three sophisticated and well-established artists find themselves in violinist Esther Hoppe, 1st prize winner at the ARD Competition, and the two renowned BIS artists, cellist Christian Poltéra and pianist Ronald Brautigam. Presenting the program on modern piano as well as fortepiano, the trio creates delightful interpretations with new and varied nuances in sound and colour.
“The audience travelled through vast soundscapes, and experienced delight and pain in constant alternation, as in Winterreise. Light and shadow, Schubert’s instinct for melody and harmonic leaps, timbres in between sweet and bitter – everything was explored down to the smallest detail.” (Luzerner Zeitung, 26. October 2021)
