Andreas Staier in Leipzig to receive the Bach Medal
This Friday, Andreas Staier will be awarded the Bach Medal of the City of Leipzig as part of a harpsichord recital. He will receive the medal as a token of appreciation for his interpretations and his recordings with reference character from the Mayor of Leipzig, Burkhard Jung, and the Director of the Bach Archive, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Peter Wollny.
Before that, tonight there is also the opportunity to experience Andreas Staier live in Potsdam. He will perform a harpsichord recital as part of the Potsdam Music Festival, in which he will present works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean-Henry d’Anglebert and Georg Muffat, among others.
