New Trio Gaspard Album: Volume 5 of the Haydn Trios

Today marks the release of the latest installment in Trio Gaspard’s complete recording of all of Haydn’s piano trios. On this album, Vashti Hunter, Nicholas Rimmer, and Jonian Ilias Kadesha perform Trio No. 22 in A major, Hob. XV:9; Trio No. 6 in F major, Hob. XV:40, No. 5 in G minor, Hob. XV:1, and No. 44 in E major, Hob. XV:28. As always, the recording is rounded off with a commissioned piece—in this case, “Threesome in a High-den” by Helena Winkelman.
