A fresh approach to the “Rhein in Flammen”: on 28th May, Tobias Feldmann will embark on a concert tour along the Rhine – and, in his characteristic manner, he will captivate audiences with his passionate performances. In Koblenz and Mayen, he will play Mendelssohn’s magnificent Violin Concerto in E Minor accompanied by the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie under Ulrich Kern. Directly afterwards at the end of May and in early June, he can be heard in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach where he will perform Wieniawski virtuosic Violin Concerto no. 2 in D Minor and the Niederrheinischen Sinfoniker with Georg Fritsch at the conductor’s stand.
Though contemporaries, the German romanticist Mendelssohn and the Polish violin virtuoso Wieniawski couldn’t have been more different. Tobias Feldmann intuitively captures both styles and invokes the character of the works true to detail with his astute musical approach. His virtuosic elegance combined with his charismatic, youthful presence make his performances an unforgettable experience.
