As the Artist in Residence, Isabelle van Keulen will assume the artistic direction of the German Chamber Academy Neuss for the coming 2017/2018 season. In so doing, she will succeed Lavard Skou Larsen, who is leaving the Academy after 12 years as principal conductor. The Neuss Chamber Orchestra is one of Germany’s best. With fascinating programmes spanning an impressive range of musical eras and styles, from Beethoven to Mozart, Mendelssohn to Dvorak, Bartok, Grieg, Lutoslawski and Piazzolla, Isabelle van Keulen is charting a new course for the Academy. Her musical versatility, charismatic energy and unbound wealth of ideas inspire the musicians to profound, gripping interpretations. Isabelle van Keulen is a sought-after soloist among the world’s most prominent orchestras. She is bringing her extensive international experience to Neuss on the Rhine.
