Francesco Piemontesi with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra

Under the direction of Marek Janowski, Francesco Piemontesi will present Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, op. 54 on April 13th in Schweinfurt and again on April 14th in Bamberg with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, his recording with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Jiři Bělohlávek was released on the Naive Records label.
In keeping with spring, love, longing and the happiness of falling in love are the underlying themes of the concert in which Schumann processes his wooing of Clara Wieck. Francesco Piemontesi delves deeply into the romantic world of Schumann and tells in his own highly sensitive and pianistically breathtaking way of the most beautiful of all human sensations.
