Francesco Piemontesi with recitals in Mainz and Berlin

In Francesco Piemontesi’s forthcoming recitals, ambitious works of piano literature are on the program. On December 1st at the Frankfurter Hof in Mainz and again on December 8th at the Philharmonie in Berlin, he plays a Modern/Romantic program with Liszt’s Legends, Busoni’s Toccata op. 4, Lachenmann’s Variations on Schubert and Schubert’s Sonata in B-flat major. 

His intelligent approach and his immeasurable emotional expression form an imposing mix that is second to none. Liszt’s processing of religion, Busoni’s complicated counterpoint, Lachenmann’s social critique, and Schubert’s late work require perfect technique and a mature musicality, for which Piemontesi is so much appreciated and which makes his piano recitals a special experience.
